When Mercedes Came to School
On Friday 9th June Year 5 and 6 children were joined by two Mercedes engineers to help us understand our new topic for DT (Design and Technology) - Buggys. We learnt about the manufacturing of cars and all about F1 racing and the engines. Also we were told about the electric cars they produce. We learnt what happens at the Brixworth site and about their manager Hywel Thomas. The engineers bought a F1 tyre which we were able to hold and it was lighter than I thought. I really enjoyed talking to the engineers as I would one day like to be them - a car engineer. - By Owen H, Year 6
