At Brixworth Primary School, we believe in the importance of every child understanding how to be an excellent learner. These four learning behaviours give our children the tools to be resilient, resourceful, reflective and collaborative learners. All four of these skills will help our children throughout their whole education.

Rise-to-it Red is our resilience pencil reminding the children to persevere, manage distractions within the classroom and get absorbed in their learning.

Got-it Green is our resourceful pencil who helps the children to use the resources that are available to them, use their imaginations and develop curiosity through questioning.

You-did-it Yellow is our reflective pencil helping the children to plan the steps that they might take in their learning, review their progress, and make changes where necessary. It also supports the children to gain a good understanding of how they learn as individuals.

Be-team Blue is our reciprocity pencil that teaches the children how to work effectively together with others but also promotes independence when required to work alone. This is developed through having empathy for others and working collaboratively.
