On Wednesday 17th May, 49 key stage 2 children travelled to Daventry Sports Park to compete in the All Schools Cross Country Competition. Whilst there, Year 3 ran 900m, Year 4 ran 1300m, Year 5 ran 1600m and Year 6 ran 1950m. Every child really did do their very best for our school. It was a nail biting time as the results were announced as we were eager to find out if we were to retain the title for the 8th year in a row…
We did it!!
We are now able to keep the first shield as our school are the only ones to have won the competition for the last 7 years and therefore were presented with a new shield. Congratulations to all children who took part. This was a team event and all runners’ points contributed to our final score and success. However a special mention to Darcy Davies, Max Hamill, Hope Sharrock, Zephyr May and Elsie Rudkin-Wilson who came in the top three in their respective races.
