We Should Be The Best We Can Be For We Are All God's Masterpiece

Brixworth Primary School would like to say a huge thank you to parents and the local community for all of the wonderful donations received for Harvest.

Harvest Festival is a chance for us to celebrate the food that we eat and everything that we are thankful for.

Once all the harvest gifts were received, collated and the children had enjoyed the Harvest assembly, the Year Six classes eagerly delivered them around the village.

Below are some lovely images and comments from our pupils who took part.

“As part of our year 6 responsibilities, we went to give out parcels to the elderly people of Brixworth. One man said “you are the only village that do this and I wait for it every year.” This was heart-warming to hear as we loved doing this. Our class took a visit to the Mews and met lots of lovely people. We hope that the elderly enjoyed our Harvest gifts.” - By Tilly H & Lucy C

“The boxes were full and decorated and everyone was lined up in their pairs. The teachers had the hi-vis jackets on and the boxes were ready for handing out. We left school and began to walk to the first house. The boxes were delivered and the people that received them were so happy. Everyone was so cheery and nice and it was lovely to see them all smile and help them out. Overall it was a great couple of hours.” - By Grace T

“On Friday 21st October, we delivered harvest boxes to people around the village. We left the school in twos with boxes full of harvest food. We knocked on the door and a happy face answered. They all had a giant smile on their faces. We gave them the gifts of harvest food which had rice, beans, fruit and biscuits in. It was nice to see their faces light up. It was a thrilling experience to be part of.” - By Izzy G

“It was amazing to be part of this experience and walk around Brixworth because it was lovely to see the smile on everyone's faces and to see how much it made their day. When we knocked on the door it was lovely to see the persons face light up as we gave them their harvest box. I think it’s great that our school offers the chance to help and make people happy.”  - By Holly P
