Ascension Day 2023
Year 4 visited All Saints Church last Thursday for their Ascension Day service. The children performed a drama about the events that happened during Ascension day and wrote lovely letters. They also performed a song in Makaton. They were brilliant!
On Thursday 18th May all of the year 4s at Brixworth Primary School went to their Ascension Day at All Saints Church. All of the year 4 classes got to perform an act. Before that we sang the hymn ‘Give me oil in my lamp’ and then Reverend Andy gave a little speech. After, everyone had performed we sang ‘Shine Jesus Shine’ in Makaton. Then when we had finished our song, Reverend David said a prayer and then started talking about Family Fun on Saturday 20th May. After that we walked back to school.- By Jessica P and Storey dR
On Thursday 18th May the year 4s went to All Saints Church. At 10.30am we sang ‘Give me oil in my lamp’ and after that Miss Worster’s class did their play, then Mrs Varrier’s and lastly Miss Rigby’s. We sang our last hymn Shine Jesus Shine. Soon it was the end and Reverend David did the closing prayer and we walked back to school.- By Edie B & Imogen F
