Years 1 and 2 topic this term is Castles. To bring their learning about castles to life they enjoyed a trip to Rockingham Castle. They had the opportunity to explore the castle and learn about life in the castle in medieval times.

On Tuesday 12th March we went to Rockingham castle. My favourite part was the maze and playing in the garden because I liked playing with my friends. - Isla Noble, Year 1

First we got ready, then we got on the coach. We met Alison who was our tour guide and she took us on our tour. When we finished on the ground we went to the top of the castle. After lunch we saw the gardens and then we went to the church and then went back on the coach.- Martha Pratt, Year 2

Yesterday I went on the coach to Rockingham castle. My favourite part was the tower and the dungeon because there was a toilet. First we went on a tour in the castle. Second we had lunch which I liked because I was hungry. After lunch we went to the maze and we got to play there. After the maze we went back to school on the coach.
