We Should Be The Best We Can Be For We Are All God's Masterpiece

On Tuesday 20th May, selected children were invited to Franklins Gardens, the home of the Saints. The children took part in a rugby training session on the pitch followed by a tour of the stadium.

First, for our trip to The Saints we bounced on the coach, sat down on our seats and we were soooo excited! After a very exciting 15 minute journey, we arrived at The Saints stadium. Our hearts were stomping inside our chests. We walked and walked until we came across the pitch. We then made it to the bar where we dropped our bags off ready to do the our first activity. We got to go on one of the spare pitches. We played a bunch of different games such as sharks and fishes, bulldog with a twist and even a tournament. Then it was time for lunch. It was then time for our tour of the stadium. A man called Matty showed us the interior of the opposing team’s changing room. It had colours of gold, green and black to make the opposing team think about how good The Saints are. Along the corridor on the way into the opposing team’s changing room, there are gold letters that read “The Saints are coming”. After that we had a look at the home changing room which was very different to the away changing room. There was a big difference in size! There was a much bigger medic room, Saints style graffiti and t-shirts for all the players. Next, we got to see all the trophies ever won by the Saints and viewed all the photos of the Saints players. Then we walked up the long flight of stairs and arrived at the VIP area of seating. That brought us to the end of our day which we were very sad about. We got on the coach and made our way back to school. - Coen, Stanley and George
