Year 1 & 2 Topic - Polar Adventures
This term our topic in Year 1 and 2 is Polar Adventures. To start our topic, the children in Year 1 and 2 had a visit from an ‘Arctic Explorer’. She talked to them about how cold it is in the Arctic, explained how important it is to stay warm and shared some facts. She then set them a challenge to see if they could work together to make their own igloo. Using marshmallows and cotton wool they all produced some wonderful igloos!
Year 3 & 4 Topic - The Ancient Greeks
Last Friday years 3 and 4 did lots of exciting Greek things. They went into the hall and had a go at learning a traditional Greek dance. It was lots of fun but it got tricky as the music got faster. They learnt lots of facts about the ancient Greeks on a fact hunt and had a chance to make lots of Greek crafts!
