This week (July 2024), the year 6 children had the opportunity to spend a week at Whitemoor lakes as a treat for all of their hard over the course of their time at Brixworth Primary. This residential trip gives them the chance to experience many outdoor activities such as a zip wire, abseiling and the leap of faith and also live life a little more independently for the week.
"Whitemoor Lakes was really fun, and was enjoyed by everyone - even the teachers! The food was good yet the beds felt similar to bricks! Zipwires, leap of faith and raft building were most peoples favourite, including me. Although, buggy building was not a favourite, I still enjoyed it. At times it was scary and challenging but overall it was the most exciting and adrenaline rushing thing we all might have done. Most of these activities helped us to learn how to do new things and overcome fears! It was an unforgettable experience!" - Chloe Mace
