On Wednesday 3rd November we learnt about Shabbat. Shabbat means the Jewish day of rest.
It starts on Friday night and ends on Saturday night when the three stars are in the midnight sky. On Friday Jewish people clean and cook and as a family set the table. Parents have wine and light the two candles that are not blown out, they let them go out by themselves.
Then Challah bread is eaten. To end Shabbat they light a special candle called Havdalah. Jewish people have over 600 rules.
