On Wednesday 11th February, Yr 5 & 6 children received a visit from a lady to talk all about Ancient Egypt, in readiness for their Spring Term topic.
It was a really fun day. A lady, who was dressed as Cleopatra, told us all about Ancient Egypt and showed us how Egyptians made a mummy. We got to mummify a tomato, make a pyramid, do some Egyptian art and play an Ancient Egyptian game.
I learnt a lot about Ancient Egypt. Heidi J.
“I enjoyed playing an Egyptian game called Mancala. It was one of the first games known to be played!”
“Practicing hieroglyphics was fun and it was good to write in another language that has been used in the past.”
“Mummifying a tomato was fun because we did it in the same way that a body would have been mummified.”
