Archery Experience

Our morning at archery!

We all had so much fun! When we got to school, we had to quickly get our PE kit on and hop on the coach. Then, when we got to the sports centre there were A LOT OF different schools, it was so loud but so much fun! First, we had a practice at archery, 3 goes each to win bean bags. After that, we had a go at throwing 3 bean bags into different sections. Later on, we did the jigsaw puzzle board in archery. After a snack break we went and did the traditional archery board. Finally, we used the arrows to try and knock different balls of cones to score points. Then we looked at the scores and Robin got 2nd! Then we went home. Anais & Robin Year 4

Yesterday a few of us went to an archery competition with 10 other schools. We had to try to hit the bullseye every time. There were multiple levels on the traditional archery board. You could only drink water in the court and if it was not your turn, you had to sit behind the red cones, so you didn’t get hit by an arrow. We had a snack, but we were not allowed anything crumbly. I almost hit the red, blue or yellow every time. I came first place with another child. It was so much fun and if you had some spare energy, you could use the hula hoops. Isla Year 4
