When we went to Beaumanor Hall our first activity was Iron Age/Celt themed. We went into a roundhouse and talked about what the Celts would do for entertainment. After that we had a little go at some activities Celts would do in their free time. My favourite was the Celtic face painting because we actually got to paint our face.

After lunch we had our second activity which was Celtic battles. We had a wooden sword and shield. We had to learn a battle formation called shield block where you have to hold your shield above your head and have your sword poking out. After that activity we had dinner which was meatballs. Dessert was awesome because it was doughnuts. I love doughnuts!

Last but not least, it was hide and seek in the cellars. I was quite good at it but I didn't win any of the rounds. The last round only the teachers hid and we found them easily. We then had hot chocolate and biscuits before going to bed.
