The Eco-council spent an hour outside in the winter sun with binoculars and counting sheets trying to count and identify the birds that visit our school grounds. The rarest bird we saw was a long tailed tit and the most birds we saw, were seven crows sitting in the trees on the field. After that we made some pinecone bird feeders to hang on the trees to feed the birds through the cold winter weather.
We hope you joined in the Big Garden Birdwatch too and you have been feeding the birds at home, helping them stay healthy ready for spring.
