Excellence, Aspiration, Inclusion, Respect

On Monday 11th March Year 1 and 2 had a talk, via Skype, from Lorna Slater who has visited the Antarctic. Children asked her questions about the Antarctic, which she answered and she told them about her adventures.

Lots of animals live in the Antarctic   because there are no people and it is very peaceful. We saw a real iceberg and it was really tall.

Nadia Z Yr 2

It was very interesting to listen to facts about animals in the Antarctic. She told us not to throw things in the sea because they kill the animals.

Kayla R Yr 2

Lorna told us the three things that are the most dangerous, one of them Killer Whales because they eat penguins, as does a Leopard Seal. Humans are also   dangerous as they leave rubbish.

Amelia R Yr 2

The ice is thicker than a mountain and it took Lorna 72 hours or 3 days to get there. The Penguins poo is pinky orange as they eat Krill.
