A couple of weeks ago our Mercedes Competition winners, Mia and Imogen, got to visit the Mercedes factory and meet the British Astronaut Tim Peake. We had a tour of the factory and spoke to some of the engineers who work there. Then we got to meet Tim. He was lovely and chatted with Mia and Imogen about their winning rocket designs. 

“We got to go to Mercedes as we won a rocket competition in our school. We went with Mrs Stiles. When we arrived we had a tour which was truly amazing! We got to see all the rooms that some of the staff have never even seen. It was an incredible experience. To make it more special we got to meet Tim Peake! He signed the drawings we had done. All the Mercedes people came in and we got to learn about his life. A few people got to ask him some questions. At the end we got a gift bag. In the gift bag was a signed book by Tim Peake, a t-shirt and a bottle. It was the best day of my life!”
