We would like to thank parents for the generous donations of harvest gifts that you kindly donated before half term.
To celebrate Harvest, Year 1 children visited All Saints Church. They set off for a delightful walk through the village and once at the church they thanked God for the food given to us. They sang songs, read poems and met Farmer Palmer. Parents of Year 1 children are able to watch the service through the weblink sent to you.
Once the harvest gifts were collected at school the hampers were distributed to the care homes and Year 6 children delivered the hampers to the individual homes. They followed social distancing throughout and although they missed out on the usual doorstep conversations with the elderly we hope the gifts will bring some pleasure to them.

'Thank you everyone for still thinking of us here at Saxon House. A special thanks to all the parents who've used their hard-earned money to buy us these wonderful gifts and for all the children at the school that thought of us and wanted to contribute. My hamper is very much appreciated and is already being enjoyed. Thank you so much.' Mrs RK
'Thank you very much for the thoughtful Harvest Box, especially at these difficult times. A knock at the door, a gift and smiling faces of children is a real heart warmer.' Mr and Mrs B
'Thank you for my lovely harvest gift, it is truly appreciated by a nearly 90 year old disabled widow. God bless you all.' Mrs P
